Brief Description of Project

This involved the development, engineering, procurement, supply and installation of solar equipment to Kariba Minerals Mines in west Zambia.

Scope of work:

The project involves the provision of solar systems to mining houses, hospitals, schools plus water reticulation system. It also involved the provision of hot water supply to mining compound. The project also involves the construction of 400 houses.

EPC Stage

• Engineering Design, Equipment Selection, Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, Project supervision
• Procurement – supply and delivery of solar panels, sun tracker mounting frames, inverters, lithium-ion batteries, transformers, cabling, civil infrastructure, remote monitoring equipment, balance of system equipment.
• Construction – civil (land clearing, road works, fence + security, site buildings, drainage, frame mounting) electrical connections (including sub-station connection), testing and commissioning, going live

Operation and Maintenance Stage

• System operation including remote monitoring
• Scheduled and breakdown maintenance (including solar panel cleaning, parts replacement etc)
