20MW Solar Power Plant – Uganda

Brief Project Description

The project involves turn-key EPC of a 20MW grid-tie solar power plant to supply electricity to the grid.

Location:          Uganda

Technical:         20MW ground mounted (fixed) solar panels, string inverters, transformer and switchgear, monitoring, weather station, fence and other balance of system equipment.

Year:                2023-2024

Project Development

  • Feasibility Studies including Solar Yield Analysis and Financial Modelling
  • Geotechnical, Topographical and Hydrological Studies
  • Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Studies
  • Liaison with project parties (off-taker, regulatory authority, investment agency)
  • Permits and Licences

Engineering

  • Site assessment
  • Preliminary system design and calculations
  • Equipment and technology selection
  • Equipment submissions
  • Detailed design and drawings
  • Project management, installation supervision
  • Inspection and Test Plan

Procurement

  • Equipment procurement and supply

  • Factory Acceptance Testing
