Brief Project Description

The project involves turn-key EPC of a 20MW grid-tie solar power plant to supply electricity to the grid.

Location:          Uganda

Technical:         20MW ground mounted (fixed) solar panels, string inverters, transformer and switchgear, monitoring, weather station, fence and other balance of system equipment.

• Feasibility Studies including Solar Yield Analysis and Financial Modelling
• Geotechnical, Topographical and Hydrological Studies
• Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Studies
• Liaison with project parties (off-taker, regulatory authority, investment agency)
• Permits and Licences
• Project finance

Engineering

• Site assessment
• Preliminary system design and calculations
• Equipment and technology selection
• Equipment submissions
• Detailed design and drawings
• Project management, installation supervision
• Inspection and Test Plan

Procurement

• Equipment procurement and supply
• Trade finance
• Factory Acceptance Testing
• Logistics – delivery, customs clearing, storage
• EPC contractor/sub-contractor selection including tenders and contracts

Construction

• Installation and supervision – civil, mechanical, electrical
• Site Acceptance Testing
• Testing and commissioning by our engineers
• Insurances and bonds
• Training

Operation and Maintenance (Asset Management)

• On-site routine and breakdown maintenance
• Remote monitoring (Internet of Things – IoT)
